This is a handmade Chinese lacquer spoon set, two solid wood spoons, one round and one oval, finished in flowing gold lacquer (Liu Jin, 流金), by HFDlacquerware (禾丰鼎). Sold singly or as a pair, they are sized for tea, condiments, or resting on a saucer as a quiet accent. Gold powder is mixed into natural raw lacquer (生漆) and dropped freely onto the surface, then left to settle into its own pattern. No two spoons, even within the same pair, ever turn out alike.
