At HFDlacquerware, we welcome custom commissions in rhino skin lacquer (Xipi, 犀皮漆) and flowing gold lacquer (Liu Jin, 流金). From small everyday objects to larger decorative pieces and lacquered furniture, we work with you to explore the form, dimensions, colors, and finish.

Custom Pieces

You may wish to adapt an existing piece or begin with a different form. Share your ideas, reference images, preferred dimensions, and intended use. We will discuss what can be made and suggest an approach suited to the piece.

Each lacquer pattern is individually formed through handwork. References can guide the overall appearance, but the finished pattern will be unique to your commission.

Trade & Interior Projects

We welcome enquiries from interior designers, retailers, and businesses seeking lacquerware for residential spaces, hospitality projects, retail collections, or gifting.

You can select from available pieces or discuss a custom commission. For multiple pieces, please let us know the quantity and whether you would like a coordinated collection or individual variations.

Making & Timing

Our lacquerware is made by hand in our family workshop in Xianyou, Fujian. Production time depends on the form, size, technique, and whether a suitable foundation is already in progress.

We will discuss the estimated timeline and price with you before you place an order. If your project has a particular deadline, please include it in your enquiry.
