This handmade Chinese lacquer flowing gold dog figurine brings a quiet presence to a desk, shelf or bedside table. Its rounded body, small ears and gently carved face give this little companion a character of its own.

Made with an ebony wood body and natural raw lacquer, it is decorated using our flowing gold (Liu Jin) technique. The lacquer is applied in a dense shower, like a sudden downpour, creating flowing patterns across the curved surface. Where the applications overlap, the tones deepen, forming shades that range from gold to brown against black.

At just 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) tall, it fits comfortably into everyday spaces while inviting a closer look. As the light changes, different details emerge in its polished lacquer finish.
