This rhino skin lacquer incense burner showcases the "Chong" style of our signature rhino skin lacquer technique (also known as Xipi). The lid, interior, and base are finished in a solid black raw Urushi lacquer for a refined, understated contrast to the richly textured band.

This piece takes over two years to complete by hand. Learn more about our rhino skin lacquering process on our About page.

Designed to hold coiled incense, the lid keeps ash contained between uses, and the vessel doubles easily as a jewelry box or standalone decorative object when not in use for incense.

Because each pattern is entirely hand-formed, no two pieces are exactly alike — each is a singular, one-of-a-kind work of art.

⏳ Please note: Due to the extensive handcrafting process, this piece takes over two years to make. We appreciate your patience for a piece built to last generations.
